Key Features of Our Clay Brick Pavers

  • Kiln-fired terracotta clay for strength and structural reliability.
  • Through-body colour for permanent colour retention.
  • Frost resistant performance supported by low water absorption.
  • Slip resistant surface suitable for patios and paths.
  • Slim brick profile for accurate joint spacing and classic laying patterns.
  • Low maintenance, easy to maintain with sweeping or occasional washing.

Please do not compare glazed concrete block paving, handmade low-density bricks, or reclaimed cut bricks with these high-temperature kiln-fired clay pavers made from carefully selected raw materials. The premium raw material selection, firing process, density and long-term structural durability are fundamentally different.

Typical Uses of Clay Brick Pavers

  • Garden patios and terraces
  • Walkways and pathways
  • Courtyards and edging features

Installation Notes

  • Allow for cutting and wastage when calculating quantities.
  • Install on a properly compacted sub-base with suitable edge restraints.
  • Minor shade variation between batches is a natural characteristic of kiln-fired clay.

FAQs, Guides & Expert Knowledge

Are the Product Photos Taken from Real Clay Pavers?

Yes. Many of our product images are taken from the actual clay pavers, completed installations and real product samples rather than relying on a single catalogue image. We provide multiple photographs wherever possible so customers can see the colour range, surface texture, natural firing variation and overall appearance of the paving in different conditions before ordering.

Do I Need to Mix Clay Pavers from Different Packs Before Laying?

No special colour selection or on-site mixing is normally required for our slim clay pavers. The packs are blended at source to distribute the natural colour variation, so installers can generally lay the pavers progressively as supplied. Simply follow the pack sequence and normal laying lines to achieve a balanced and natural overall finish.

Are These Slim Clay Pavers Suitable for Driveways?

Yes, where the product is used within its intended loading and installed on a correctly prepared paving system. For driveway use, the sub-base, bedding layer, edge restraints, compaction and joint filling are all important to long-term performance. We generally recommend a herringbone laying pattern for vehicle areas because it provides stronger interlock against turning and braking forces.

Should I Leave a Joint Gap Between These Slim Clay Pavers?

There is normally no need to deliberately measure a wide joint between our slim clay pavers. Set out accurate guideline strings and lay the pavers closely and consistently along the lines. Small natural micro-joints will form between the fired clay units and can then be filled with suitable jointing sand as part of the completed flexible paving system.

Will the Colour Change After the Clay Pavers Are Installed?

The fired colour is part of the clay body rather than a surface coating, so it does not fade in the same way as many coated or surface-coloured materials. The paving may appear darker and richer when wet and lighter when dry, and the overall surface will gradually develop a natural outdoor character through normal weathering. These changes are normal and do not indicate a loss of the original fired colour.
